Colne Valley Low Carb Programme

The Colne Valley PCN Low Carb Programme is now available to patients of Colne Valley PCN with a BMI of over 25, who are looking to lose weight, eat more healthily or potentially put their Type 2 Diabetes into remission.

The Colne Valley Primary Care Network (PCN) consists of:

  • Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery, Halstead
  • Pump House Surgery, Earls Colne
  • Freshwell Health Centre, Finchingfield
  • Hedingham Medical Centre
  • Kelvedon and Feering Health Centre
  • Coggeshall Surgery

The programme will equip you with information, skills, tips and support to help you to adopt a low carb approach and achieve your health goals.

Our health and well being coaching team run this programme. They will discuss with you your goals and needs as an individual and support you through the programme. At the core of the programme are 6 x 30 minute educational video presentations written and presented by Dr David Oliver & Dr Kim Andrews from the Freshwell Health Centre.

Many of our participants are already reporting significant health benefits. You can find out more here if you are a Colne Valley PCN resident.

Our Resources

The educational resources that we have developed for this programme are free for anybody to use. We would encourage patients of the Colne Valley Primary Care Network to enlist the help of our experienced and enthusiastic health coach team to help you along the way. Just a reminder though, please ensure that if you suffer from any medical conditions or you are taking any long term medication, especially diabetes or blood pressure medication, you should speak to your doctor beforehand embarking on this sort of lifestyle change.
